Chimis has just opened up on Southwark Bridge Road!
The new Argentinian Parrilla restaurant is the first joint project from Federico Fugazza, founder of Borough Market Argentinian street food stall Porteña and chef Nico Modad, previously head chef at Brindisa.
Chimis is a traditional Parilla aka grill, expect Chimi to serve up juicy charcoal grilled meat, fish and vegetables. Signature dishes include Pulpo asado (grilled octopus with stuffed polenta, served with smoked paprika and salsa criolla), grilled lamb cutlets and Argentinean rib eye and sirloin. To start, expect Mollejas (sweetbreads with chimi lemon sauce), Provoletas (grilled Provolone) and empanadas.
